It’s a cover of the Aretha Franlin’s song that her sister Carolyn wrote for her. In 1973 she released the album “Hey now hey” that wasn’t very successful, but “Angel” in it was definitely a hit.
Aretha Franklin is the artist that influenced and inspired me the most. For me it’s the best voice on Earth, so soaring and powerful. The vibe of the “Angel” gave me the desire to sing and to play it myself on the piano and to record it.
It’s about love, loneliness, and hope.
